If you were a woman climbing the corporate ladder in the 1970s, chances are you may have had a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress in your wardrobe.

The New York designer built an entire fashion empire on the simple wrap dress. The design was a bona fide hit with working women, who loved it for its ease and modernity. It was probably one of the first day-to-evening fashion items they could wear – now that they were busy career women – from the office to a night on the town.

Now, von Furstenberg is dressing their grandchildren. The designer teamed up with GapKids, for the second time, to launch a girls and baby collection. (Her first kids collection for the retailer was a hit last year)

They might be pint-sized, but the DVF signatures – colourful prints and even an adorable wrap dress – are noticeable in this safari-inspired collection, ranging in sizes from newborns to age 14.
