Halle Berry: Our Favourite Style Moments

As the Oscar Award winning actress celebrates her 50th birthday (Aug. 14, 2015), we look back at some of her best fashion moments.

Halle Berry cemented her A-list status in Hollywood when she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for Monster’s Ball in 2002. It was also a historic moment—she was the first African-American woman to win the Oscar for Best Actress.

As well as taking home the gold statuette for her acting abilities, the actress also won a gold star that night in the red carpet fashion sweepstakes.

Her choice of a burgundy and sheer mesh embroidered gown by designer Elie Saab firmly placed her on the fashion map with campaigns for Revlon.

With her signature cropped hair and her lean svelte body, Berry is known for form-fitting dresses and gowns with daring slits to show off her gorgeous gams. At times, she turns to slick pant suits as an alternative. Whatever her red carpet attire, you can count on measured doses of sexiness.

But in her off-time, you can catch the talented actress taking a break from the va-va-voom and opting for cocooning comfort with long drapey layers.
