See who’s running your funds

There have been a lot of changes in the mutual fund world in recent months, including some musical chairs involving prominent managers. Here are a few of the notable changes. If any fund you own has been affected, talk to your financial advisor about appropriate action.


AGF International Value Fund

. Charles Brandes organization replaced by Harris Associates of Chicago.

AGF International Stock Fund

. Brandes replaced by John Arnold and Rory Flynn of AGF’s European operation.

Altamira Growth & Income Fund, Altamira Balanced Fund.

Shauna Sexsmith has left Altamira.

CI Tactonics Fund.

This was formerly a Spectrum fund, rebranded with the CI name. Karen Bleasby, who development the investment concept, has been replaced by Derek Webb.

CI Canadian Equity Fund

. Another former Spectrum fund, it was previously ,managed by McLean Budden. Well-known value manager Kim Shannon is now in charge.

Renaissance Canadian Core Value Fund, Renaissance Canadian Small Cap Fund, Renaissance Canadian Balanced Fund, Renaissance Canadian Income Trust Fund.

Kim Shannon was a co-manager on all these funds. She resigned t positions in August, leaving the responsibility to co-manager Gaelen Morphet.
