Everyone Wants to Be 103-Year-Old Facebook User’s Friend

It was recently reported that 103-year-old Lillian Lowe is the oldest user on Facebook. Since then, she has received 999 Facebook friend requests.

Lowe told the BBC about her new-friend requests. “They have been very kind and uplifting messages,” but “I can’t reply to them all.”

The centenarian says she uses the social network site about twice a week to keep up to date with family. “I have a number of friends – all my family, grandchildren, great grandchildren. I check up on my family. They send me messages [about] what they’re doing and to which parties they go.”
