57 ways to feed your grandchildren

An old baby food standby has joined the information age with its own website. The venerable H.J. Heinz company has launched www.heinzbaby.com, a website providing caregivers with direct access to a wealth of infant and toddler nutrition information. It is the first site to offer comprehensive infant and toddler nutrition information based on Canadian guidelines.

"Our site fills an important gap in the on-line resources available to information-hungry care-givers of young children,” said Emily Baird, Heinz Canada product manager, special projects.

Grandparents involved in infant and child care can find nutrition information based on Canadian Paediatric Society guidelines, meal planning tips, frequently asked questions as well as the latest on Heinz baby food products and promotions. They can also learn more about how to help their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital foundation by saving Heinz baby food labels.

Applications to join the Heinz Baby Club can be submitted on-line. Plans are underway to expand the site to include live chats, discussion boards, and an on-line baby photo album.

As many CARP members alrey know, Heinz Canada has been feeding babies for more than 60 years.
