One of the biggest trends in travel are multi-generational vacations where families choose collect experiences rather than stuff. Bringing two or three generations together in one destination from across the country (or Globe!) is a great way for everyone to reconnect and make new memories without the distractions of everyday life. The challenge becomes choosing a destination or type of vacation that everyone can enjoy and have their individual needs meet along with the needs of the group. Quite a tall order!

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is one of our top picks at Vision Travel for a multi-generational vacation. They are known for driving innovation at sea and really do have options for everyone in your group from infants to more senior family members.

Kids will have a blast in the Adventure Ocean Youth program and there is entertainment geared to every age group as well as night clubs & spas for some much needed adult only time. The dining opportunities are endless with everything from casual family dinning to romantic, sophisticated restaurants. Royal Caribbean has even created shore excursions that the entire family can take part in.

With larger groups there are often some dietary considerations and other special needs. Royal Caribbean is able to accommodate food allergies, other dietary needs as well as some special needs.  Gluten free, lactose-free, kosher, low-fat and low-sodium meal options are available, however, it’s important to note that some must be requested at least 45 days prior to your cruise.  Vegetarian meals and options are available every day in the dining room and the Windjammer cafe and don’t need to be requested in advance. For guests with mobility challenges and other needs such as sign language services, medical refrigerators, oxygen supply delivery and other considerations, Royal Caribbean does require a minimum of 30 days advance notice. It’s also important to discuss any of these needs with your Travel Advisor prior to booking.

While all Royal Caribbean ships offer a unique cruise experience, their newest Quantum Class of ships offer ground-breaking features such as North Star, RipCord by iFly and transformative spaces as well as a huge variety of activities, entertainment and dining options. Talk about the WOW factor!  These attributes make these stunning ships the ideal destination for a multi-generational trip.
