Segway Company Owner Dies in Segway Accident

The owner of the Segway company has died in an accident involving a Segway.

Sixty-two-year-old James Heselden’s body was pulled from the River Wharfe in northern England.

It is suspected that he lost control of one of the all-terrain versions of the machine while travelling along a cratered bridleway close to his estate.

There is no trace of suspicious behaviour. Heselden’s family said, “there is absolutely nothing to suggest it was anything other than a tragic accident.”

Heselden also owned Hesco Bastion, a company that manufactures protective walls used by military troops.
