Royal watchers can finally exhale, because the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their baby boy. The future King will go by the name George Alexander Louis, the Clarence House has announced. They tweeted:

The speculations surrounding the name drew Ladbrokes to take 50,000 bets after the Duchess went into labour with participants putting down small amounts of money. The odds-on favourite among bookies was the name “George,” with 8/1 odds on paddypower.com. George is Prince Charles’ middle name and is used by the Queen’s grandfather, George V, and father, Albert Frederick Arthur George, who went by ‘George’ once he ascended the throne.
Of Greek origin, the name George – ironically – means “farmer, earthworker.”
