Watch: Leonard Cohen Releases New Single On His 82nd Birthday

The Canadian troubadour turns 82 this week (September 21, 2016) and he’s chosen his big day to gift his fans with the title track of his soon-to-be-released new album, You Like It Darker.

Sony Music, Cohen’s label for five decades, has called the album “haunting,” while the “lucky few” who have already heard it in its entirety have deemed it a “masterpiece,” pegging it “classic Cohen.” The album will be released October 21, 2016.
