Happy Birthday, Charlotte! The littlest royal turns two years old on May 2, and to mark the occasion Kensington Palace has released a new portrait of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter.

“The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share a new photograph of Princess Charlotte to mark her second birthday tomorrow,” the Kensington Palace announced the day before her big day. “TRH would like to thank everyone for the lovely messages they have received & hope that everyone enjoys this photograph as much as they do.”

The young royal is dressed in a yellow cardigan with a blue satin bow on her head. The photograph was taken in April by her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge at their home in Norfolk.

Princess Charlotte was first introduced to the public on the day she was born, May 2, 2015. For her first birthday, the Duchess treated royal watchers to a series of portraits taken at Anmer Hall, the family’s country home in Norfolk.

For a little trip down memory lane, here’s a selection of some of last year’s photos. We can’t believe how much she’s grown!
