Saturday Night at the Movies: Big Night, Mostly Martha, and You Can Count on Me

Food lovers will want to catch Saturday Night at the Movies—TVO’s long-running movie block—this weekend. Starting at 8pm ET, the first two features are classic gastro-themed flicks: Big Night (1996) starring Stanley Tucci and Tony Shalhoub as brothers trying to maintain a failing Italian restaurant in 1950s New Jersey, and Mostly Martha (2001) a German romantic dramedy about a workaholic chef and the unexpected twists her life takes both in and out of the kitchen. The evening is rounded out with the Oscar-nominated sibling-focused drama, You Can Count on Me (2000) starring Laura Linney and Mark Ruffalo.
