Shatner’s Show Stirs it Up with Parents

CBS’s affiliates are being criticized by The Parents Television Council for picking up a comedy series called S*** My Dad Says, starring William Shatner, because of the vulgarity in the title.

The parent group is threatening the broadcast licences of any CBS affiliate that promotes or airs the television show before 10 p.m. The comedy is set to air on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m.

CBS made a point to mention that the Twitter feed, which uses obscenities regularly, has more than 1.5 million followers.

“It will in no way be indecent and will adhere to all CBS standards,” said spokesman Phil Gonzales.
