Canadian Nobel Prize Winner Dies Before Receiving Award

A Canadian-born scientist, responsible for discovering new treatments for cancer and other diseases, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine on Monday, three days after dying of cancer at the age of 68.

Dr. Ralph Steinman’s research revealed secret of the body’s immune system and pushed for new treatments for autoimmune diseases and cancer.
