Ontario gets a Liberal Minority

Dalton McGuinty will be returning to Queen’s Park as premier after being elected for a third time- this time with fewer seats with minority status.

McGuinty said after his win, “We have, in fact, succeeded in our goal of electing an experienced Liberal government.”

Toronto’s Mayor Rob Ford says a Liberal minority government is “excellent” for the City of Toronto. “Myself and all the councillors get to work with all the leaders now,” Ford told CBC Radio’s Metro Morning.

Voter turnout hit a record low with only 49.2 per cent of eligible voters going to the polls.Click here for more on the election.
