Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge try hand at cricket during Indian tour

Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took part in a cricket match yesterday (10.04.16).
The royal couple visited the Oval Maidan ground in Mumbai, India, where they took part in a game and chatted with local children and charity representatives.
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who was also in attendance, spoke highly of the Duke and Duchess.
He said: “What a fantastic experience it was to meet the Duke and the Duchess – remarkable couple – made us feel so comfortable and really humble, very very simple.
“And the noble causes they are supporting all over the world I think that shows what kind of heart they have and they feel for less fortunate ones.
“It’s nice to know he understands cricket, he follows cricket. We discussed the T20 finals as well, we spoke about tennis, all in all a wonderful experience for me.”
And Sachin was also incredibly impressed by the couple’s cricket skills.
Commenting on their batting technique, he said: “He middled them all, so, even if it was against the wind, he was managing to get the distance.
“She batted, she fielded, she did everything! She’s very, very sporty.”
