Princess Beatrice presents Queen Elizabeth with champagne after Ascot win

Britain’s Princess Beatrice presented her grandmother Queen Elizabeth with a trophy and a bottle of expensive champagne after her horse won at Ascot at the weekend.
The 27-year-old royal – the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson – dished out the lavish prizes to the 90-year-old monarch after her horse Dartmouth, ridden by Oliver Peslier, won the Hardwick Stakes on June 18.
The monarch – who was dressed in royal blue and a pastel hat – couldn’t contain her excitement as she waltz up to collect her Bollinger booze and medal from the Princess.
The Queen’s win was her 23rd at the annual racing event – held in Berkshire, England – but her first since 2013.
However, there was a brief moment when her win was in limbo as a stewards’ enquiry into the possible interference with Irish raider Highland Reel got underway.
She then displayed a huge grin when the stewards announced the result would remain unchanged.
Meanwhile, Beatrice was glowing as she arrived at the racecourse in a pretty patterned dress and dark blue hat.
And it seems blue was a common theme this year as Duchess Camilla – the wife of the monarch’s eldest son Prince Charles – also opted for the flattering colour.
