Create astonishing memories as you learn, experience, and connect

If you’d love to visit some of the most exotic destinations in South America in the company of interesting new friends – yet never straying far from the lap of luxury – Vision Travel has a cruise that is perfect for you.

There’s only one “hitch”: this South American cruise is proving so popular that at press time there were just two cabin categories left on this February 1, 2019 sailing!

Vision is hosting a special group departure on board the elegant Seven Seas Explorer™, an intimate 750-guest, all-suite ship which has been called the most luxurious ship ever built.  And this memorable itinerary takes you from Buenos Aires in Argentina to Santiago in Chile with unforgettable ports of call along the way.  This Islands and Fjords of South America itinerary departs February 1 next year for 16 nights.

To make the cruise even more appealing, you’ll be in the company of friendly and welcoming Canadian hosts including Leslie Coates of Vision’s Ottawa office.  Leslie has hosted countless cruises and group tours and says the secret to her success is gathering together like-minded, well-travelled couples and solo travellers who appreciate the chance to spend time together.

Also on the ship as special interest  lecturer, will be renowned Ottawa-based wildlife and adventure photographer Michelle Valberg,  who is one of just six Nikon Ambassadors in Canada, and the first ever Canadian Geographic Photographer in Residence. Michelle will be giving four lectures on how to up your game when it comes to photographing people, animals and landscapes and will also host a deckside workshop, providing more pointers and suggestions.

In all there will be nine ports of call as you make your way down the east coast of South America and up the western, Chilean side. You’ll visit Buenos Aires, in Argentina, the capital of Uruguay – Montevideo, and have the rare experience of visiting the incredibly remote yet welcoming Falkland Islands.  Another port of call sure to be memorable is Ushuaia (“oosh-why-yah”) on Tierra del Fuego, the departure point for many cruises to Antarctica.

As part of this itinerary there are two days at sea on the Atlantic cruising to and from the Falkland Islands, two days cruising the stunning Chilean Fjords – said to rival those of Norway – and a day at sea cruising the Pacific.

And there will be no shortage of on-board activities to keep you as busy as you wish:  the Explorer’s 18-station cooking school awaits with classes as diverse as Italian, seafood, classic French and British high tea.

Other on-board diversions include the ship’s casino, elegant boutiques, several clubby and cozy bars, a card room, infinity plunge pool ,  theatre and of course up to five different six-star restaurants!

Regent calls itself “The most inclusive luxury experience” – and with good reason.  The list of inclusions is truly remarkable:

  • Round-trip business class fare from major cities across Canada
  • Transfers between the airport and the ship
  • Unlimited shore excursions – there are up to 37 to choose from on this itinerary
  • Unlimited beverages including fine wines and premium spirits plus in-suite mini-bar replenished daily
