A tale of two princes

With just a three year age difference between the brothers, Prince William and Prince Harry have often shown their vastly different personalities.

To see just how different they are, all one has to do is look at the royal headlines trending this week.

While Prince William was being lauded for his help in rescuing a Canadian tourist in North Wales, Prince Harry was busy playing a game of strip-billiards in Las Vegas – where photos of him nude were taken and leaked to the tabloids.

Blurry photos of the 27-year-old Prince found their way to American gossip website TMZ – showing him naked and cavorting with an unidentified nude young woman.

While the Royal family will not comment on the photos directly, a source has confirmed it is indeed Prince Harry, who is third in line to the British throne, in the photos.

While some may feel he should have known better in this iPhone day and age, Harry’s wild child image started way back in 2002 when he admitted to drinking underage and using marijuana. In 2005, he even made headlines for wearing a Nazi uniform to a costume party.

After serving in Afghanistan for four years, many thought he had left his party-prince days behind, even recently standing in for his grandmother during the closing ceremonies of the Olympics.

Prince William, on the other hand, has consistently maintained the ideal royal image. His marriage to Kate Middleton last year was the largest media spectacle the royals had seen since his parents wedding in 1981.

He has been stationed at RAF Valley as a trained helicopter pilot with the rank of flight lieutenant since January 2010, and has participated in a number of “royal rescues.” The Royal Air Force Sea King helicopter he was piloting on Tuesday arrived on the island of Anglesey where 58-year-old Darlene Burton of Barrie, Ontario was hiking along the coast when she fell and broke her leg.

Burton was flown to a hospital in Bangor, Wales where she received surgery and is currently recovering.
