The royal wedding was one of the most buzzed-about events in recent years. People all around the world tuned in to see Prince William and Kate Middleton say their I dos.  Of course, one of the most anticipated moments was the reveal of Kate’s wedding dress which was kept top secret  right up until the moment she exited the car and walked up the aisle at Westminister Abbey. This summer, Buckingham Palace decided to include the dress in its yearly Royal Exhibition and unsurprisingly Kate’s gorgeous gown brought in a record number of visitors. Palace reps estimate approximately 600,000 people came through the exhibit, roughly a 50 per cent increase from previous years. The Duchess’s dress was created by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and according to a palace source, Kate would like to now put the famous dress into storage to preserve every intricate detail for as long as possible.
