Taiwanese-Canadian designer, Jason Wu, became a fashion world favourite for his sophisticated gowns and event-ready dresses. Some even went as far as to call him the heir apparent to Oscar De La Renta (the designer of choice for monied aristocratic ladies the world over). And, it didn’t hurt that he also had the endorsement of First Lady Michelle Obama–she famously donned his gowns for both of President Obama’s inaugurations.

But 2013 was a benchmark year for the 31-year-old as he was named Artistic Director of BOSS Womenswear leaving many eager to see how the young talent would infuse the German label with his refined, global sensibilities.

“My idea for this collection is that of a really powerful, confident and sexy clothes, that are really the very representation of the DNA of HUGO BOSS,” said Wu in the Hugo Boss release. “We took the idea of architecture meets nature and shot Edie Campbell at the Philip Johnson Glass House. It was emotional, beautiful and very sleek and sophisticated at the same time.”

Watch Jason Wu’s debut F/W 2014 collection for BOSS come down the runway in our livestream below starting at 2:30pm ET.
