Your homeowner’s policy may not protect you

The liability clause in your homeowner’s policy probably excludes coverage for damages arising from business or professional activities. For example, a client who is injured at your residence while visiting you on business, would not be covered. Neither would an injury, or damage, you cause while visiting a client. Be sure you get a rider that provides this protection, or a separate business policy.
