The Zoomer Report: Davis Real Estate

Elli Davis is celebrating a quarter of a century in the real estate business.
She’s been the top selling Royal LePage agent in Toronto 21 times in a
row, and she sees a new trend for Zoomers.

“I think it’s a great time for the boomers to sell the large homes, have
a place in the South for winter fun, and have a place in the North for summer
fun!”

She says Zoomers are starting to take advantage of the fact that the real
estate market in the U.S. is melting down, while it is still healthy here.

“And they’re just shifting the dollars: some are buying a condominium,
some are buying a town home, and then they’re also thinking of buying
a property up North in cottage country, if they don’t already have one,
or something down south, and you know, the market down South in Florida especially,
or in Arizona or California are prime places to buy now, and I’ve had
a lot of the US sellers, agents, developers, saying ‘Help us, we have
great deals!'”

By the way, Davis doesn’t believe the Toronto market will take a big
dive – though she does expect supply to increase, and prices and sales
to level out.
