Ripped Off

A Mazda dealership in Orangeville, ON, sunk the car salesman tag to an all-new low, taking advantage of an unemployed woman receiving a disability pension, www.wheels.ca reports.

Madeline Leonard went to the dealership to change the tires on her 2004 Mazda3, but instead drove away in a 2010 Mazda6.

While we thoroughly enjoy the new Mazda6 – one of the sportiest sedans on the market – Leonard paid $66,000 for the vehicle, $25,000 more than it’s worth. Even worse, Leonard didn’t want to buy a new vehicle. The www.wheels.ca story says she was overwhelmed and confused by the fast-talking salesman.

The business manager of the dealership says they haven’t done anything wrong. We’ll see how the courts rule.
