Enjoy summer travel at a great value!
Let’s face it. Although Canadians enjoy travelling year-round, summer is the time to explore the beauty of the Canadian countryside or venture into the United States to experience the natural beauty of the Grand Canyon, the California coastline or the beaches of Florida. And now more than ever we enjoy travelling, but need to find a place that offers a great value at a great price without sacrificing comfort.
Founded in 1962 in Santa Barbara, California, Motel 6 is synonymous with a great travel value. The first Motel 6 in Santa Barbara still leaves the light on today, but a lot has changed for the motel chain that pioneered the concept of an economy motel designed for the budget-minded traveller. The brand continues to grow and currently has more than 1,100 locations and more than 100,000 rooms in the United States and Canada. There is a Motel 6 hotel in almost every popular attraction and key destination in your travels from the historical city of Boston, through the iconic Route 66 of Chicago to LA, the Grand Canyon, the California and Oregon coastlines and beyond. There are now 20 Motel 6 locations in Canada, included in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Now celebrating 50 years in the hotel industry, Motel 6 is proud to showcase a completely new product for the international senior traveller. The new “Phoenix” rooms feature wood-effect flooring, entertainment units with flat-screen televisions, wardrobe and plug-ins for MP3 players, as well as black granite countertops and walk-in showers in the bathroom. Many additional amenities include free local phone calls, expanded cable and wi-fi available. Complimentary coffee is available each morning in the lobby area. As your travels take you on the road for a long period of time, pools and coin-operated laundry services are available in most locations. Finally, don’t forget your furry friends! Pets are welcome at all Motel 6 locations. By offering this excellent value, travellers both young and old can save money on lodging during their travels.
